MILLAIS 2012 OLYMPIC CHALLENGE

If you would like to register your interest for any of these activities You need to go to the OLYMPIC 2012 folder in the PE CA folder on the student shared area. Note - you can only do this when you are in school.

Here you will find an excel spreadsheet where you can add your name for any of the activities offered.

This will secure you a place and you will be notified nearer the event about the details. If you do not wish to take part at this point a name from the reserve list will be added

Please do not make any other alterations to this spreadsheet other than adding your own name and form. If lists are full there are reserve lists where you can add your details. If courses and reserve lists are full please come and see Ms Morgan and we will see if we can extend the course offer

Only YEAR 10 pupils and  all STAFF are eligible to vote.

Year 11 GCSE Survival Guide

An electronic version of the GCSE survival guide is now available for you to download at HOME (you cannot do this in school).

The guide contains information about revision techniques, healthy diet and lifestyle, a timetable of the revision sessions and the full exam timetable for May and June, along with many other useful pieces of information.

There are also editable sections in the e-book that you can use to store key information about the different subjects you are studying.

The full installer package will install the reader software, the Survival Guide Digilog and a shortcut on the desktop, this is a standard install wizard and the install will be complete after just a few clicks

Year 10 GCSE Science Mock Exams

The dates for your mock exam in Core Science are 23 and 24 May (the paper is 1 1/2 hours long) and your actual GCSE exam is 15 June.

It is vital that you do some revision over the Easter holiday so that you are well-prepared. Make use of all the resources available and refer to the Aqa specification. Remember you are doing Science A route 2.

The 3 mock exams for Triple Science students will also be at the end of May and the dates of your Biology, Chemistry and Physics exams are 12 June, 15 June and 20 June respectively.

Year 10 Geography Revision Sessions

Exam Dates

Monday 18th June – Living with Natural Hazards (Unit 2)

All revision sessions will be in room 39 for Higher AND room 41 for Foundation. Sessions will run from 3.10 – 4.10

All revision sessions will focus on the key content, terms and key words that you will need to know and examples of how to answer GCSE questions.
